Sorry, Google removed the functionality that allowed this extension to work. I don't think it's necessary anymore though, Google History now seems to record browsing history anyway.

I was using your chrome extension "Updater for Google Web History 0.5.3" for quite sometime, and my browsing history did actually sync to the Google Web/Search History.

However, I just found out that it is not working... and it seems the Search History removed all my previous updated done through your extension too.

What is the way to have this function work today? How can I have my Chrome browsing history saved?

If you open the Developer Tools (F12) are there any errors logged?

The graph only shows for games it has price history for - are you checking a game that used to work?

I swear to cow, it doesn't work with all charsets now. :D I mean at all, graph disappeared! And in "incognito" too.
If important — I use Bubuntu 14.04 and Chrome 34.0.1847.116.
Russian/english — don't work.

OK I've updated the extension to v0.0.13, let me know whether this fixes the problem.

If it doesn't fix the problem then can you post an updated screenshot of how it looks please?

Hello there. Excellent extension, useful! Nice site you found on internet and your extension really practical — watch that prices have low value sometime, but you don't know about it. But in Russia many times prices below over the world (without deal price like with deal sometimes), don't know why, maybe we homeless? :D

But can you fix that bug (see img. #1)? I think — something with charset. Yep, I'm use russian charset — UTF-8. So strange — I switch to ''Windows-1251 / 1252 / 1250'' and value becomes to russian rubles, not dollars (only words, not really value). On cyrillic ''ISO-8859-5" (and some like charsets) — ukraine letter ''Є''. Lol. KOI8 — too awry. As a result, I guess: Win-1251 → UTF-8 (something like). Maybe it's will be useful, 2 decoders and table of awry codepages: 2cyr.com/decode (eng.), artlebedev.ru/tools/decoder (ru.), habr.ru/post/147843 (ru.). Sorry for russian, don't know were english. That's all.

Suggestion: see img. #2. Maybe add $ or other signs to a displayed price when mouse over graph. (if that — I don' have it, if it must be there, I have simple numbers: 19.99)

I don't know what to do. Wait ur update in Chrome. :) Thanks in advance!

Damn. It was super useful. Thanks for the input.

Now I'm trying to think of a workaround. Something hacky like submitting every history item as a google search, so it gets recorded. :/

It was never an official API, people just reverse-engineered how the Google Toolbar did it. So since the Google Toolbar is now retired I guess they've shut down the server side of it.

Sorry, it looks like Google has wound that functionality down. I think they want everyone to use Chrome with history sync on instead.

Just noticed that this hasn't been working since Nov 1st and it's no longer in the web store. I'm sad, I loved being able to find stuff I was doing previously. Any chance of it coming back? Even if it has to be installed via dev methods.

the extensions - especially the price watcher book marklet look useful. Will give it a try. Would be great if you wrote an article talking about some of the semi-technical aspects of the project (time taken, roadblocks and challenges, etc.)
